There will be no homework this week :-)

Trip to Malahide on Thursday

Dear parents and guardians,

On Thursday 22nd March, the Junior and Senior Infant classes will be going to Malahide Park for an SESE fieldtrip. As our current them is ‘Trees, plants and flowers’ we will be doing some investigation work, followed by a trip to the playground.

The cost of the bus is 3 Euro per child. The bus will leave the school at 9am and pick us up from Malahide Castle at 11.30am.

Please ensure your child is wearing appropriate footwear, and has a rainjacket. We will be bringing our lunches to the park to have a picnic.

Parent volunteers are very welcome. If you’re interested, contact the class teacher.

Kind regards,
Julie, Becky, Mel and Jessica

Homework 13th - 16th March 2018

Tuesday's homework:
- Learn to recognise new tricky word 'said'. Tricky words are words that we don't blend, but learn to recognise as a whole word.

- Handwriting book - Small letter 'c'. Try to keep inside the blue lines, touching top and bottom blue line. Draw a picture above of something that starts with 'c'. We're focusing on letter size and height for the remainder of the year, while revising formation of the letters.

- Revise the song and action for the 'c' sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZNxhoxSAFA

- 4 in a row CVC word game. This is a two player like x's and o's. Sound out each sound in the word and blend together to say the word.
